Celebrating 60 years of service, Neil Dymott Hudson has been an enduring presence in the community since its establishment on February 4, 1964. With Mr. Clark R. Hudson as President, Mr. Benjamin J. Howard as Vice President and Managing Partner, Mr. David P. Burke as Secretary and Treasurer and Mr. Alan B. Graves as Director, Neil Dymott Hudson is poised to continue prospering, mentoring new associate talent and delivering dedicated service and superior results to its clients. Leveraging their extensive legal backgrounds, their primary objective is to ensure Neil Dymott Hudson remains one of the most successful Medical Malpractice and Legal Defense firms in Southern California.

In 2024, Neil Dymott Hudson received recognition as a tier 1 firm for Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants and Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants in San Diego by Best Law Firms®, reflecting our commitment to professional excellence and the esteem of both our clients and peers. Since its establishment on February 4, 1964, as Holt, Macomber & Rhodes, APLC, our firm has been a steadfast pillar of the community, marking 60 years of unwavering dedication and earning numerous accolades along the way.

All four shareholders began their journey as law clerks with Neil Dymott and have ascended to leadership positions within the industry, a testament to the mentorship of esteemed attorneys like Brigadier General Michael I. Neil, ret. and Thomas Dymott (deceased). Their legacy of integrity and passion for the profession continues to inspire us. Mr. Dymott's mentorship of younger attorneys, exemplified by Clark Hudson, ensures the continuation of our firm's legacy of prestige and excellence in litigation, defense matters and leadership in the legal sphere.

Similar to Mr. Neil, Mr. Hudson has a background in the U.S. Marine Corps, having served actively from 1983 to 1986, and he was recalled during Desert Storm in 1991. With a wealth of experience comprising over 95 jury cases tried across various Southern California State Courts, Mr. Hudson's leadership transcends the confines of the courtroom. He has assumed diverse roles, including Past President of San Diego Defense Lawyers, Senior Director of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC) and President of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC). His distinction as "Lawyer of the Year" for Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants in San Diego by Best Lawyers® in 2024 serves as a testament to his outstanding contributions to the legal profession. Mr. Hudson has been consistently recognized as part of The Best Lawyers of America® in Medical Malpractice Law - Defendants since 2009. Furthermore, he has been honored as “Lawyer of the Year” for Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants in San Diego in 2013 and 2018.

Neil Dymott Hudson is widely respected both locally and nationally, distinguishing itself as the only San Diego firm with two members, including a past-president, in the prestigious Federation of Corporate and Defense Counsel—an exclusive international organization specializing in defense litigation. Moreover, it boasts three of the San Diego Defense Lawyer’s 30 past presidents and holds the distinction of being one of only two firms in the city to have a former President of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel among its ranks. This underscores its capacity to nurture top-tier talent, exemplified by two of its attorneys being inducted into the esteemed American College of Trial Lawyers—an honor extended to just 1% of attorneys in any state.

Driven by a commitment to achieving successful, efficient and tailored outcomes both inside and outside the courtroom, Neil Dymott Hudson remains steadfast in upholding its legacy. As we embark on the journey ahead, our commitment to protecting, advocating for and rewarding the commendable practices of our clients remains unwavering.
