WE ARE A LAW FIRM THAT GETS RESULTS

Robb & Robb LLC has been successfully handling personal injury cases, aviation accidents, helicopter crashes and wrongful death lawsuits since 1984. Since obtaining our first million-dollar jury verdict in 1987, Robb & Robb has obtained many record-breaking and industry-altering multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of our clients.

Robb & Robb LLC was founded in 1984 by Kansas City personal injury attorneys Gary C. Robb and Anita Porte Robb. Over the last 40 years, the Kansas City, Missouri, law firm has handled many precedent-setting, important, high-profile and complex cases in the fields of aviation law, hazardous product liability and personal injury.

Our record results include the two highest jury verdicts in U.S. history in helicopter crash trials, the largest pre-trial cash injury settlement for any individual in U.S. history and the two highest pre-trial aviation injury settlements in U.S. history. In addition to these United States records, we have also obtained statewide record results in numerous states throughout the country.

Some of the UNITED STATES RECORD OUTCOMES obtained by attorneys at the law firm of Robb & Robb include:

  • The two highest jury verdicts in the history of the United States for helicopter accident trials – $350 million and $70 million.
  • The largest pre-trial cash settlement for any individual injury in U.S. history – $100 million (Colorado – 2018).
  • The largest pre-trial cash settlement for any wrongful death in U.S. history – $100 million (Nevada – 2024).

Founding Partner Gary C. Robb founded the law firm with his wife and partner Anita Porte Robb in 1984. Mr. Robb is the past President of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA). Mr. Robb has been nominated by his peers to The Best Lawyers in America® since 2005 for Aviation Law, Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs and Product Liability Litigation - Plaintiffs, which has come to be regarded by both the legal profession and the public as the definitive guide to legal excellence in the United States. He has been a Board-Certified Civil Trial Lawyer since 1994.

He has served as Co-Chair of the Aviation Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Litigation and is Past Chair of the Aviation Section of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) (formerly ATLA). He has also served as Chair of AAJ’s Product Liability Section and of the Trial Evidence Committee of the ABA’s Section of Litigation.

Mr. Robb is the author of “Helicopter Crash Litigation,” the authoritative text now in its third edition. He has authored numerous articles on trial technique, products liability and aviation matters published in Trial Magazine Journal of Products Liability, National Law Journal, Journal of The Missouri Bar and Northwestern University Law Review. His writings have been cited by a number of courts and legal scholars throughout the United States.

Founding Partner Anita Porte Robb has been nominated by her peers to The Best Lawyers in America since 2012 for Aviation Law and Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs, which has come to be regarded by both the legal profession and the public as the definitive guide to legal excellence in the United States. She founded the law firm with her husband and partner, Gary C. Robb, in 1984.

Ms. Robb has received numerous honors and awards and has handled many high-profile cases. She represented Vanessa Bryant, widow of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, in the helicopter crash lawsuit for the wrongful death of Mrs. Bryant’s husband and their daughter Gianna. Ms. Robb also represented Senator Jean Carnahan in the lawsuit arising out of the airplane crash that killed the Senator’s husband, Missouri Governor Mel Carnahan.

Ms. Robb has received the “Influential Appellate Advocate” award in the state of Missouri for her work on the successful appeal of a $52.5 million plane crash case. She has also been honored as a “Legal Rainmaker” by Ingram’s Magazine in 2014, and she was named a KCMBA “Dean of the Trial Bar” in 2019.

In 2020, Andrew C. Robb and Brittany Sanders Robb joined the law firm as associate attorneys. They bring significant experience, first-rate credentials, and earnest dedication to achieving the Firm’s mission.

Andrew and Brittany have both been nominated by their peers to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America in 2022, 2023 and 2024 for Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs, which has come to be regarded by both the legal profession and the public as the definitive guide to legal excellence in the United States. They have also been named to the Missouri Lawyers Media’s “Up & Coming” list for 2021.

We believe that maximum justice for our clients and their families must include doing everything in our power to expose and eliminate product defects, dangers and corporate wrongdoing so that others will be saved from suffering the same fate. At Robb & Robb LLC, we work tirelessly to bring maximum justice to our clients and to make the world a safer place, one case at a time.

NOTHING SPEAKS LOUDER THAN RESULTS. As a result of our unmatched record of success, Robb & Robb has been called upon to handle our nation’s most high-profile aviation disasters, from coast to coast.
