Lucy G. Jackson

Lucy Jackson's practice is dedicated to helping people who have been seriously injured in motor vehicle collisions (including pedestrians and cyclists), slip/trip and fall accidents, assault and battery, as well as a result of defective products or medical devices. Lucy represents clients with traumatic brain injuries, orthopaedic injuries and spinal cord injuries and she helps navigate them through both their lawsuit and their recovery.

Lucy also practices with Thomson Rogers' class action group, representing class members in claims of institutional abuse, product liability and breaches consumer rights. Lucy is presently working with a consortium of firms to advance the class action litigation on behalf of the families and residents of long-term care homes impacted by COVID-19 outbreaks in Ontario.

In the course of her practice, Lucy regularly attends Examinations for Discovery and Mediations on behalf of her clients, as well as appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. She advocates to ensure that her clients and their families have access to the benefits they are entitled to under the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule and has appeared before Licence Appeal Tribunal.

In addition, Lucy has experience assisting her clients with their claims for Long Term Disability and Canada Pension Plan Disability Benefits and she has successfully appeared before the Social Security Tribunal of Canada.

As well as working hard to maximize the compensation for her clients, Lucy also understands the importance of making the best recovery possible. Lucy works with private and community treatment providers throughout Ontario to ensure her clients receive excellent services, while taking into consideration her client's cultural and linguistic needs.

Lucy approaches her client's cases with skill, perseverance and compassion, while working tirelessly to achieve favourable results so her clients can move forward with their lives.
